Nantucket Rainbow Fleet Plates
In 1925 the Nantucket Yacht Club selected a 12 foot catboat design for its fleet. With many different color sails, it became known as the “Rainbow Fleet” and was immortalized in 1930 by a photograph taken by Marshall Gardiner as the fleet rounded Brant Point Lighthouse. These 8 3/8” plates are hand painted in Quimper exclusively for L’Ile de France. A hole pierced in the back makes them easy to hang. They are dishwasher and microwave safe.
